Pia Valär | Artist Residency

For a month, Pia Valär captured her impressions of Beirut through illustrations that are shared through the low tech and traditional form of communication: the postcard. As the culmination of her residency in Beirut the original illustrations are shown at Zico House. Pia Valär (1983), a native of Zuoz, studied at the Edinburgh College of Art (BA Hons Illustration, 2013). She works since as a freelance illustrator and illustrated booklets including programs and picture books. In 2015, Pia Valär received the encouragement award from Canton Graubünden. She lives and works in Zurich.
